Letter from the Headmaster
I am honored to be serving as Headmaster of Grace Academy, and I look forward to cultivating a relationship with each family as we partner together to encourage the children to realize the purpose God has for their lives in a warm and loving environment that promotes academic excellence.
The core values and mission of Grace Academy of Dallas are as follows:
- Integrating a Christian worldview into all subject matter. We stress instruction in God's Word and the development of Godly character traits.
- Maintaining a quality professional staff. Our faculty members are properly credentialed, with many holding multiple degrees. Our staff loves the Lord, embraces His teachings, and are wonderful role models for our students.
- Maintaining a low teacher/student ratio: 1:10 in the Preschool and 1:16 in the elementary classes. Classrooms are organized, colorful, child-oriented, with various learning centers.
- Teaching an extensive, broad-based curriculum designed to develop basic learning skills, cultural appreciation, and experiences in the fine arts.
- Providing firm, loving discipline as well as a warm, nurturing, orderly, and well-prepared environment where manners and respect are instilled in the students.
- Assisting children to reach their full academic potential. Achievement test scores from standardized testing have consistently averaged in the 80 percentile and above.
- Employing multi-sensory, individualized learning through the use of manipulatives and Montessori equipment in the Preschool classes. We believe that the academic environment should be planned so that the children can see, touch, hear, and work with concrete materials as they learn abstract concepts.
The 2010-2011 academic school year promises to be a banner year for Grace Academy of Dallas.
Technology upgrades are here for this fall. Grace Academy now has Smartboards (digitally enhanced whiteboards) in each classroom, grades 2-6. This will bring a whole new element to lesson presentation. In addition, we now have a redesigned computer lab with new laptops for students Kindergarten through 6th grade.
If you seek an academically challenging educational program for your child that is grounded in the strength and stability of a Christian worldview, please allow me to personally introduce you to Grace Academy, its staff, its students, and its facilities. I believe you will find Grace Academy a wonderful place to grow!
Sincerely,
Jim Clarke
Headmaster
