Invest Your Time

Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the activities that contribute to the success of the school. It also allows you the opportunity to directly add to your child’s school experience, build relationships with other parents, meet the teachers, participate in the daily life of the school and most of all, the person reward is immeasurable.

The Grace Academy PTF offers many opportunities throughout the year and plenty of ways to get involved based on your area of interest and time availability. We have summarized some areas to consider. Whether you grab a friend and head a committee or just tell us that you can offer some time to help in the area, there is something for you!

President

The President coordinates the work of PTF, works on annual budget, approves PTF expenditures and presides over a monthly meeting to inform the parents of Grace.

Vice President

The Vice President works side by side with the President and learns the position for a possible President position the next year.

Secretary

The Secretary keeps minutes at monthly meetings and informs the parents through email and Monday envelope. Secretary also keeps bulletin board up to date with monthly calendar and event information.

Carnival

The Carnival is made up of sub-committees like Activities & Games, Food, Auction, Sponsors that are formed to make this event happen. Time commitment ends by October 21st of the school year!

Gala

The Gala Chairperson shall plan, coordinate and implement the Grace Gala. Chairperson supervises all subcommittees, like Invitations & Seating, Decorations, Set up, Raffle, etc. Board secures evening entertainment. Development Director in School office solicits sponsorships from possible past and future donors in this fundraising effort.

Sally Foster

Sally Foster Chairperson shall be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing this fundraiser. The Chairperson and Co-chair work together to initiate the sales drive, order and organize delivery and pick up for the fundraiser.

School Directory

School Directory Chairperson works to compile, design and complete the School Directory to be distributed in September. Co-chair shall coordinate communication with Grace families and board members regarding ad sales in the directory. Co-chair shall also gather necessary graphics information for ads for the chairperson

School Supplies

School Supplies Chairperson and Co-chair work together in July to distribute school supply shipment to teachers during the summer.

Uniform & Resale Shop

Uniform Resale & Spirit Shop Chairperson oversee all planning, coordinating and selling used uniforms during Orientation in the Fall and one additional organized sale in the Spring. Co-Chair assists with ordering and distributing Stallion T-shirts/Hoodies for students with an initial order gathered at Orientation in Fall.

Food & Decorations

Help Grace office staff, set up, clean up, decorate and plan events throughout year. Some events include:

  • Touch of Grace
  • Moms & Muffins
  • Dads & Donuts
  • Grandparants' Day
  • Grandmothers' Tea

Moms in Touch

Coordinator plans weekly prayer fellowship for parents of Grace. Parents pray together for children, faculty, staff and school. Group meetings each Friday from 8:20 - 9:00 in the Chapel area.

Room Parent Coordinator

Room Parent Coordinator secures room parents through the Spring and Summer preceding the school year. The Room Parent Coordinator holds a room parent meeting in September to distribution all necessary information and instructions needed by room parents. Coordinator stays in communication with room parents for school wide email information.

New Family Buddy Program 1st-6th

Coordinators plan, and implement a New Family Buddy System for new families coming to Grace. Each new family is assigned a “Buddy Family” (family that has been at Grace for some time) to stay in touch with throughout the year for questions, explanations and other helpful information.
