Second Grade Summer Skills & Suggested Reading
We encourage parents to oversee a reasonable level of summer work to help children academically stay on track. Below are links for downloading the summer reading list, and summer work required of all students entering second grade.
Research has shown that over the summer children generally lose about one month of the progress achieved during the school year. By doing a few pages of the skills book each week and reading just 15-20 minutes each day your children will have systematically reviewed those important skills learned over the past year. Students received the above referenced Skills Book in May.
